AKC CGC Preparation Class helps dogs and handlers build the real-world manners and reliability needed to work toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen title. We’ll practice polite greetings, accepting handling and grooming, loose-leash walking, walking through crowds, sit/down/stay, recall, appropriate behavior around other dogs, reactions to everyday distractions, and supervised separation. The class focuses on confidence, neutrality, handler communication, and reliable obedience in real-life situations, with the CGC evaluation offered at the completion of the program.
